Rawhide è il titolo di una serie televisiva statunitense che dal 1959 al 1966 riscosse un grande successo seguendo il copione più classico e tradizionale, cioè la storia di un lungo viaggio di trasporto di una mandria, la serie prende il nome da Rawhide, il soprannome di Rowdy Yates personaggio (protagonista della serie) interpretato e portato al successo da un *******ssimo Clint Eastwood. La serie è composta da 8 stagioni per complessivi 217 episodi della durata media di 50 minuti.
Degno di nota è il tema della serie, scritto da Ned Washington e messo in musica da Dimitri Tiomkin, ripreso nella scena del saloon Bob's Country Bunker del film The Blues Brothers e inserito nella colonna sonora originale del film. È stato suonato dal vivo dai Litfiba nei loro vecchi concerti ed è registrato sul loro live Pirata. Da notare anche una versione del gruppo Hardcor Punk Dead Kennedys presente nell'album In God We Trust, Inc.
